What would the world look like if positive social impact was intentionally incorporated into the DNA of the corporate mid-market, a force of 30 million employees and $10 trillion that can be leveraged towards a social good?

Strategic corporate social impact supports multiple bottom lines in a company’s core business model. Sophisticated corporations are recognizing that social impact makes business sense – not only because customers are looking to support businesses that are authentic in integrating social impact, but integrating such strategies improves core operations.

We, the mid-market, can generate meaningful and lasting positive social impact on our communities and environment with the incorporation of social responsibility into our everyday operations. The CEO Connection Social Impact Committee develops mid-market social impact initiatives and strategies that provide access to opportunities for economic growth and vitality.

The mission of the CEO Connection Social Impact Committee is to:
  1. Identify and create opportunities that enable the mid-market to maximize its social impact.
  2. Support the efforts of mid-market companies making and/or attempting to make a meaningful impact on their communities and beyond.
  3. Connect members to opportunities for social impact and to share best practices in the social impact space.
Jostein Solheim, CEO of Ben & Jerry's is the chairperson of the CEO Connection® Social Impact Committee. Jostein is a devoted advocate for gender equality and environmental conservation. As Chief Executive Officer and Vice President of Global Brand Development at Ben & Jerry's Homemade Inc. since March 2010, he is particularly involved in Ben & Jerry's social mission, which focuses on changing ways to improve the quality of life on a local, national and global level. Founded in 1978 in Burlington, Vermont, Ben & Jerry's grew from a single ice cream parlor in a renovated gas station, into one of the most recognized and socially responsible ice cream brands on the planet.

Serving on this committee is not designed to take a lot of time and will enable you to connect with other mid-market CEOs, create opportunities for your company, and shape the mid-market perspective on social responsibility, all while collaborating on ideas to help change the world.
